Pets at Hunterford Estate

Even though Hunterford Estate is private property, it and its residents are still subject to federal, state and local laws.

​

Parramatta Council laws require:

​

Cats:

• Cats are required to wear a collar and tag on public land. The tag should include your pet's name and your contact number.

• You could be fined for noncompliance.

• Council recommends that cats be desexed and kept indoors after feeding at night.

 

Dogs:

• Dogs must be on a lead at all times, or you could be fined for noncompliance.

• Your dog is prohibited from:

  • Club House and community barbecue areas

  • pool compound and pool

  • toilets

• Dogs can be declared a nuisance if they:

  • are running off-leash

  • barking excessively

  • repeatedly run at or chases any person, animal or vehicle

  • endanger the health of any person or animal

• Please ensure you clean up after your dog, non-compliance can result in fines. ​
